Wines under the Basi del Diablo brand are now available at Kamarinn Cafe, an establishment located near Lake Paoay in Ilocos Norte province. Cases of Basidina and Basi Maria were delivered to the restaurant on March 13, a day after Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte ordered a community quarantine in the country’s capital. Now that the whole of Luzon where Ilocos Norte is a part of is also on lockdown, the local wine brand encourages its customers to visit Kamarinn when the said order is lifted.
“We are very excited that we now have Kamarinn as one of the restaurants that carry the brand,” Sissel Salucop, the company’s finance chief says. Kamarinn, is owned by Samuel Blas, the operator of Saramsam restaurant in Laoag City.
“Kamarinn is one of the prettiest places you can go to while in the region. It has a beautiful view of the lake. It is absolutely breathtaking during sundown. They also serve mouthwatering merienda,” Sissel adds.
