Basi del Diablo variants De La Bodega and Basi Maria will be served along with great food at Smoke Bar & Restaurant in Paoay on Valentine’s, a gastronomic treat that will surely satisfy the most discerning guests.
The chef, Chris Stolk, posted the menu on social networking site Facebook last week. It was followed by several posts of what he has been making in his kitchen.
“Come celebrate Valentine’s Day with the one you love, with the food you love! We are putting together an amazing culinary treat for couples, paired with Basi del Diablo wines,” he wrote.
The Valentine’s dinner will start with a helping of fresh organic garden salad and black pepper zucchini soup. The main course, according to the chef, will comprise of blackened wagyu strip loin steak and cajun steamed prawns. Mashed potatoes and cajun medley of vegetables will also be served. Mr Stolk and his team will be pairing these mouthwatering dishes with Basi Maria, Basi del Diablo’s semi-sweet red wine.
For dessert, guests will be enjoying strawberry shortcake made from fresh strawberries and whipped cream on top of an incredibly soft and tasty cake. It will be paired with De La Bodega, the only frizzante from the wine brand. Piping hot coffee freshly brewed from the chef’s kitchen will also be served.
