Bold Dessert Wine for the Bold

If you love bold dessert wines, the Ambaristo is a good choice. Made from wildberries, plum, grapes, and sugarcane, this red wine tastes like a merlot with hints of, you guessed it, berries.

It feels a lot heavier on the palate as compared to our Virginia Blush and De La Bodega but just as comforting.

This wine was named after Saralogo Ambaristo, a man who played a crucial role in the Basi Revolt. He had a sad life. His wife was murdered by a guard of the estanco. His search for justice ended up in one of the most important revolts in Philippine history.
